COLLEGE WITH A DIFFERANCE

As the sun brightens the whole universe and brings everything to the visibility of all, the Bright Sun in the College Crest symbolize God, who is the True Light, Supreme Wisdom and Perfect Knowledge, who illumines our heart and mind, and enables us to see everything in the right perspective. As the darkness in the Universe is dispelled by the light of the sun, the ignorance in the world will be wiped away by the wisdom of God.

THE RAY EMANATING FROM BRIGHT SUN are the graces and Blessing of God embracing the whole creation irrespective of caste, creed and race.

THE BOOK in the Emblem represents the Holy Scriptures of all religions in the world which contain the inspirations from God-the revelation of God's wisdom and knowledge.

THE OPEN BOOK is to mean that the word of God is easily accessible to all sincere seekers of supreme wisdom and perfect knowledge.

THE LETTERS-ALPHA AND OMEGA- the first and the last letter in Greek, signifies that God, the immortal being is the Beginning and the End of all that is created in the Universe. He is the Alpha and omega of the universe.

THE STARS in the emblem represent Education. As the stars play a vital role in bringing the world bright at right, Education plays a significant role to make us enlightened persons (Buddha) who are groping in the darkness, by removing the darkness of mind (ignorance).

THE 'DIYA' signifies the human response to God's creative plan for God's creative and redemptive works are incomplete without human beings' participation. We have to go hand in hand with God to fight against the social evils (darkness) prevailing in the society as a result of ignorance. The Educational Institutions in this sense become and expression of human response to God's call to transform the worked. SJC is an attempt from our side in response to God's call to eliminate the darkness by receiving the True Light, Knowledge and wisdom from God and sharing them with our fellowmen.

A BOOK AT THE BASE OF THE EMBLEM is to signify that SJC makes it sure that its solid foundation be on the supreme wisdom and perfect knowledge of God revealed in the Holy scriptures of all the religions in the world.
