Admission Procedure

Students who are interested and desirous in seeking admission to any of the courses offered by St. Joseph's college will have to fill in the application form available along with the prospectus, and submit it in the college office on or before the stipulated date. List of students selected for admission will be displayed on the college notice board. No call letter in this regard will be served to the applicants.

Documents to be submitted along with the Application Form:
The following documents are to be submitted along with the application form:
1. Attested Copies of Mark sheet of the qualifying Examination.
2. Caste Certificate with Documents to prove SC/ST/OBC status, if any.
3. Two passport size color photographs for the degree section. (In which both the ears should be visible).
4. Xerox Copy of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Merit statement .(For B.Ed. Applicants)
5. Xerox Copy of the Admit Card.( For B.Ed. Applicants)

Documents needed at the time of Admission: B.A. & B.Sc.
1. Mark Sheet of the Qualifying Examination (Original and photocopy)
2. Transfer Certificate (Original and photocopy)
3. Conduct Certificate (Original and photocopy)
4. Gap Certificate (if there is a gap of one or more academic session).
5. Migration certificate (Original and photocopy), for those who have passed their qualifying examination from any board other than U.P Board.
6. Two passport size recent color photograph (not digital).

Documents needed at the time of Admission: B.Ed:
Imp: The candidates who have appeared in the joint entrance examination of the current year conducted by the concerned university or agency in U.P. is a primary requirement for getting admission in B.Ed. course.
1. Original marks sheets and certificates from SSC or SSLC to Degree/post Graduation.
2. 50 minimum of 50% marks either in graduation or in post graduation for the general category candidates as the minimum eligibility requirement as per the recent Government Notification.
3. Mark sheet and Admit card of joint entrance exam(JEE) of the current year.
4. Two passport size and one stamp size recent color photograph (not digital).
5. Transfer certificates(original and photocopy)
6. Conduct certificate(original and photocopy)
7. Migration certificate (original and photocopy), for those who have passed their qualifying examination from any board other DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur.

Important Instructions related to the Admission:

1.   Before filling in the application form for the admission to B.A., B.sc. and B.Ed, the applicants are advised to read the content of this prospectus carefully.
2.   It is in the interest of the applicant, to ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility or qualification. Incomplete application shall not be entertained for admission.
3.   Do not send your application through post or courier service; get it submitted to the college office counter directly and personally.
4.   All details in the application form must be neatly filled in and signed by the applicant in her own hand-writing.
5.   False, wrong or inaccurate information may lead to the cancellation of admission.
6.   Admission will be granted only to those candidates who fulfill the requirements for admission laid down for the course of study.
7.   Admission are valid for the current year only and therefore have to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.(for B.A & B.sc students only)
8.   The principal may refuse admission to any individual. No candidate shall claim admission as a matter of right.
9.   Every candidate should appear before the selection committee, which recommends or disqualifies a candidate for admission
10.   Passing the previous examination is compulsory for admission to the next higher class.
11.   The principal may for valid reasons cancel the admission granted, provisionally or otherwise to any candidate
12.   University fees will be collected from the students during the time of admission.
13.   No refund of fees after the commencement of the session.
14.   For admission to the next higher class the following requirements are compulsory:
(i)   A good record of conduct during the examination and other events of the college.
(ii)   Students who are placed into the category of supplementary examination may apply for admission provided they have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
(iii)   Age limit for admission depends on the university/state Govt. Norms.

i) B.A.  (Two Section of 80 students each)
ii) B.Sc. (Three Sections of 60 students each)
iii) B.Ed. (One Sections of 100 students )
iv) B.T.C. (One Sections of 50 students )
Note: - The number of sections may vary as per university guidelines

ii) Bachelor of science (B.Sc)
