Our Motto

The vision, mission and goal of the college are depicted in the motto of the College" Aano Bhadraha Kratavo Yantu Vishwataha (Rig. V.1 :89:1)’ 'Let noble thoughts come to us from every side. ' It aims at an 'Openness' towards the Truth from anywhere and in every facet of the life and activities of this Institution. This openness will lead one to embrace the Truth and eliminate the untruth which would be dehumanizing the whole world. Hence, St Joseph's College wants to inculcate in her alumnae a deep sense of openness and broadmindedness to society, irrespective of caste, creed or religion which should bring greater unity, human solidarity, communal harmony and National Integration.

ST JOSEPH'S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN IS A NURTURIG GROUND FOR AN INDIVIDUAL'S HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT TO MAKE EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE SOCIETY IN A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT.

The holistic or integral development of an individual is attained through academic excellence and professional competence with personal, Interpersonal and social skills. The holistic development involves our participation in our national dreams and aspiration, and our dedication to promote national integration and communal harmony in keeping with the secular nature of the country.

We visualize the out going students and future teachers of St Joseph's College for Women to be true Citizens and true professionals in every respect. committed to prepare young people not only to face the challenges of the future society with confidence but also to build a global community with purpose and responsibility. As a College for women we visualize the emancipation and empowerment of women and enable them to play their role effectively and thus contribute something to the society especially for its transformation according to the signs of the times and needs of the hour
